PhD's require the successful conclusion of a training period and a research period. This organised series of training and research activities conducive to the obtaining of the title is known as the PhD Programme.
The same conditions as required for enrolment in the Master’s Degree are necessary for access to the PhD Programme. Students wishing to access the research period of the PhD Programme must have a Master’s Degree or equivalent from a Spanish university or from a higher education institution of the EHEA. Those students who have obtained their qualification from outside of the EHEA may also enrol, without the need for official homologation, following a check that the qualification is of a level equivalent to the corresponding Master’s Degree from a Spanish university and is sufficient in the issuing country for access to PhD studies.
Moreover, enrolment shall be possible if any of the following conditions are fulfilled:
· Having exceeded 60 credits included in one or several University Master’s Degrees, in accordance with the range of studies offered by the University. Exceptionally, the research period can be accessed by those students who can accredit 60 credits of postgraduate level, made up, in line with the regulations established by the University, of training activities not included in University Master’s Degrees.
· Having a graduate degree with at least 300 credits.
