Research Support Central Services (SCAI) is part of Málaga University, and is destined to giving integral, centralised technical and scientific support both to different research groups of Málaga University and to public institutions and private companies.
Ever since its creation in the mid-1990s, the SCAI has consolidated its position as a provider of high added value to Málaga University, facilitating the development of the different lines of research carried out at the university and supporting the creation of new lines. Moreover, it has become one of the most notable indicators of the evolution of research at our University.
Throughout this time, important actions have been implemented with regards to infrastructure, allowing the extension of the available techniques catalogue and the renewal of existing scientific equipment.
The current scientific structure of the SCAI comprises ultramodern equipment which covers a large part of the areas of knowledge which are currently at the vanguard of technological development.
Thanks to the critical mass which these facilities provide, Málaga University can carry out global maintenance and management, thus ensuring the optimum use and profitability of the existing infrastructure.
In summary, the SCAI has taken shape as a unit which brings together highly qualified personnel and cutting-edge equipment, an essential condition in order to successfully overcome the challenges presented by the current scientific and technological panorama.
